    Does anyone know the status of Angeles City? I've been trying to contact my father since last week and it seems phone lines have been down.

    Steven;
    Here on Luzon we are having trouble with land line international calls due to the flooding in Manila. I was over in A/C a few days ago and all was fine from what I saw. Does your father have a cell phone? There has been very little trouble with them.

    Steven: We have been having trouble with relatives receiving calls on Globe also... Perhaps if another relative has a different SIM card?

    Hi John; I'm using my Globe Sim in my Cell phone to be online, and here on Luzon its been working fine, I spoke with my brother in Boston 1 hour ago. Is there trouble down south?

    No... Up North in Abulug. We've been having to call relatives who are using SMART. I think globe may be having typhoon related problems, but since this is the Philippines, who knows?

    I am still trying to find my father in Angeles city- everytime I call his # it says either the phone is in a unreachable area or the phone is turned off. I have tried emailing him as well. I know he left okinawa about a month ago. Is there anyone that lives in Angeles City that could help me. I saw his picture on the DMZ site (atleast it looked like him from the back sitting at the bar). His name is Elmar Troger, he is retired Col. in Army with Austrian Accent. 63 years old.

    Go on line and look up RAO (Retired Affairs Office) AC, also VFW AC, and the American Legion AC. You could e-mail them and request they put a notice on their boards. If he's retired military he'll end up in one of those 3 places. Their Phone numbers numbers are also listed on their websites. Good luck!
